Ok it!!!8217;s just my concern that these accounts that showing on my credit file under closed accounts with zero balances are having impact on my file.0

What impact are you particularly worried about?
The made up score and rating?
Or something else?0 -

having an open account with a balance
having an open account with zero balance
having a closed account
not having an account because you never opened it for the fear it would affect your file.
Do you think having closed accounts with zero balance is worse than not having them there? It isn't as correctly settled accounts show you can manage credit and close when no longer needed, as opposed to no closed accounts meaning no idea how you can handle credit.0 -
Seems to work very well overall. The only issues i have are that my current account number is wrong (I raised dispute for this). And that the credit cards offered based on my info are really poor offerings, eventhough my credit score is considered high. But i found this to be the same with Experian credit check too. They never offer me cards even close to the ones i already have, which i find odd.
I came here to check my score before I try my first ever current account switch.
(Although they don't offer current accounts). I just feel better about applying, although i was once turned down by Santander for a current account, even with a great credit score...0 -
That's why you need to check your files and never the score.0

Likely because you just didn’t fit their customer base.0

Can anyone tell me what figures the "spending" timeline tracks? It seems closely related to, but not limited to, the debt balance on loans and credit cards. It's not a tracker of monthly spend, but some kind of long-term indicator -- but I can't quite work out where the inputs are coming from!
I realise it's not particularly indicative of anything important, but I'm interested from a UI perspective what it's supposed to be indicating.0 -
I just tried to check my Clear Score credit rating and the system said I don't have a Credit Rating. Hardly very likely given my 999 on Experian. I'd love to know how Clear Score tries to identify people, or find their credit history because it seems to me that it's really not doing a good job right now.0

It sounds very likely.
If you have a thin file, and therefore a high Experian score, it may be that none of your creditors report to Equifax.
How many accounts are you seeing on your other two files?0 -
My other two are showing several credit cards, several loans, mortgage lenders etc, no faults on any of them. It's hardly likely to be a thin file, at least in my opinion. It's possible that none of my creditors report to Equifax but I seriously doubt it, they are all big name high street organisations. CreditKarma was something like 652, and as I said Experian 999. Which makes me amazed that Clear Score has apparently never even heard of me. Do they only check with loan sharks and dodgy Dave down the pawn shop?0
