Which TV should I buy?

Hi guys,
I'm not very techy when it comes to TVs and came across these two:
http://www.very.co.uk/panasonic-tx-48cx400b-48-inch-smart-4k-ultra-hd-freeview-hd-led-tv-black/1460047722.prd
http://www.very.co.uk/panasonic-viera-tx-50cs520b-50-inch-full-hd-led-freeview-hd-with-freetime-smart-tv-with-built-in-wi-fi-black/1460047733.prd
One is Ultra HD and has the larger discount, the other seems good and is two inches bigger.
Which TV should I go for?
Thanks.
MM

That depends on whether or not you want UHD just now. There's not so much content available for it yet but do you want to future proof?
I wouldn't buy from very.co.uk. Go to Richer Sounds or John Lewis for their 6 year or 5 year guarantee. Both TVs are cheaper from Richer Sounds and come with a 6 year guarantee.
I've just purchased this one as it achieved very good awards.

Thanks Jem, think I will go via richer sounds instead. Think you are right about the Ultra HD.
Now you have given me another dilemma, do I go for

or

Well the Panasonic isn't available to order online - do you have a Richer Sounds near you?
It is available via John Lewis though. It only has 2 HDMI ports though as opposed to 4 with the Samsung. Is that important for you?

Try looking at a few reviews before deciding which might be best for you.0 -
I would go along somewhere and actually see the tv.
I definitely wanted Panasonic, having had one last a very long time and one still very good , but I wanted a larger screen.
I had decided on a fairly basic one, thinking of getting a new Humax or staying with Sky, but on viewing this set looked cheap.
The one we bought, a 650 model, has Freetime and is 3D, but it is a very handsome set and the picture was markedly better than even other Panasonics near to it, so it was decided to pay out more for the quality.
Richer Sounds have the 50" version, now at £549 with 6 years warranty, but will beat any lower price you can find.0 -
I'd take the Panasonic because it's bigger, unless you've a reason not to (like number of HDMI inputs for example).0
