    Hi all

I'd like to clarify that on Cheap Energy Club when you've a fix ending in the next 12 months we provide three cost and savings figures.

    1) What you're currently paying on your fix (default unless you're approaching final few weeks of your fix)
    2) What you'd pay after your fix ends (the standard cost)
    3) What you'd pay over 12 months if you do nothing (Ofgem's personal projection).

For full details on this you might be interested to read our recent news story.

I am on the previous energy club deal which was Sainsburys and only joined in early March. What I would like to see is the comparison between staying with Sainsburys or switching again to the new Switch Event 3.

    Hi Accurtis

If you log into your energy club account we'll provide you by default with a comparison against your fix with Sainsbury's Energy. If you do decide to switch again, don't forget to factor in the cost of exit fees on your current tariff.

    I hope this helps.

I have just tried to compare and was quoted I was paying £400 more than I am, and told I could save £380. load bull a what !!!!! of. I was expecting better from Martin's site.

    Hi Wispaman

I wonder if perhaps you've entered your gas and elec usage the wrong way around to get such a large difference?

If you email energyclub@moneysavingexpert.com we'd be happy to check and help you understand this discrepancy.

You don't use the comparison cost you work out how much say 4000 kWh of electricity and 14000 kWh of gas will cost you for the next year and pick who is the cheapest.

Me, £967 against present if I don't switch £1097, MSE cheap energy club wins.

Except when you want to compare the cost with the Cheap Energy Club.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Eon 1 year fixed V12 tariff was only available between 29th October and 27th November 2014, therefore yours presumbaly ends between 29th October and 27th November 2015. Could you explain how you plan to stay on this tariff until September 2016???

    a) That's correct and my current tariff expires on 29th October 2015.

b ) I've already started the MSE Big Energy Switch.

    c) Nowhere did i state i was planning to stay on the tariff until September 2016, so i don't know where you read that?

    d) I won't be resting on my laurels as i'm sure EON will release cheaper tariffs in the not too distant future, (along with other companies.)

I also think the majority of consumers on sites like these, are, obviously money savers who DO keep switching tariffs. That's what we are all posting about?

Gas and electricity is one of the largest regular bills that a household has to pay, behind mortgage or rent, and council tax, and energy bills have been rising at a faster rate than household income.

At the top of the page there are 2 large square boxes and below one oblong box with circles in to select, they have the descriptions "WHAT YOU'RE CURRENTLY PAYING", "WHAT YOU'LL PAY AFTER YOUR FIX ENDS" and "YOUR 12 MONTH PERSONAL PROJECTION" The savings will then be compared to that selection.

    Hi Fredandwilma

As long as your current tariff has an expiry date of less than 12 months from today, you should automatically see the screen showing the three different costs.

If you email us at energyclub@moneysavingexpert.com I'll be able to check your account.

That is very bizarre. I now have a quotation saying i will save £59 a year, which is what i calculated including the £30 cashback.
