Section 75 credit act

If I buy three golf clubs each costing £99.99, the total bill being £299.97 and use my credit card am I covered bearing in mind they were 3 individual clubs?

No. It goes by the cost of the item, not the cost of the order.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

Why? Has there been some issue with the order?

While section 75 won't apply, you should still have chargeback - obviously not as good as section 75 but it will still help in limited circumstances.

To be honest I've just bought 3 golf clubs for £99.99 each from an Internet site called .onlygolfclubs.co.uk. I can't find anyone else selling these clubs for less than £149.9a9 each, I questioned why they were so much cheaper and was told they buy direct from the manufacture, I'm now thinging I've been a bit of a pillock, forgetting the maxim that if it's cheap it's iffy!!!

I would say that it's definitely a dodgy company and if you do get the clubs, they will probably be counterfeit.

The website shows no address for the company apart from:
    "Address: London UK"
No telephone number and a gmail e-mail address.
Add poor written English and I would say that they are definitely not UK based.

Hmmmm, no address details, a gmail email address, no phone number, poor English. Their returns terms are also not in line with the CCRs.

I wouldn't touch them with someone else's barge pole! Fingers crossed you will get your order without a hitch though.

This website was only registered in August 2015. Perhaps you are right to be concerned. The postcode does not match the address or the website's registrant shown on Whois, but that might be a typo.

If I were you I would wait for 15 days and then start the chageback process with your card issuer.

Have a read of MSE's Chargeback article while you are waiting.

It might be a typo with the post code, but it's fair to say that Crewe is definitely not in London!

thanks for all the info, I don't suppose my credit card bank will allow me to cancel the transaction only paid a couple of hours ago?
