People think that most of them are "families" - so many kids shoved in front of cameras on the telly .... but the BBC journalists that spent a lot of the end of last week and the weekend on the ground said they're mostly single men.

    Extended families will follow.

So once hundreds of thousands (millions?) of these migrants from the Middle East, Africa and Asia are accepted in Germany, what's to prevent them from coming to the UK? I'm hoping some form of border controls will be reimposed soon – throughout Europe. I feel very sorry for countries like Greece and Hungary, which are having to bear the brunt of this invasion. It should never have come to this.

Hungary suddenly twigged: "Shove them on buses, drive them to the border. Crisis over while nobody's noticing they shouldn't do that and everybody seems to think that's a solution". Greece will see this ... and order buses.

Germany has a few million empty homes and lots of apartments available for long term rent at 400 euro or less per month and a long term native population decline. Although many will be unhappy, Germany has the infrastructure and the economy and arguably the need for immigrants

What would prevent them from coming to the UK is the same as what prevents Germans from coming to the UK

Greece are now giving the refugees papers, though I'm unsure what papers?? The people looked happy enough so maybe papers meaning they can travel anywhere in the EU? Unlike Hungary who wanted ppl to claim asylum there? And as you mention Germany is going to take 800,000, what if 400,000 decide to come over to the UK? They will of course:eek:be able too, you don't hear this mentioned?

What? They probably have more reason to come here than the Germans, family friends already here, the call of the promised land etc....
