Where will all the refugees live?

It sounds as if they will be in receipt of housing benefit. This will be funded by Foreign Aid.
Might not go straight to the refugee to bypass issues, but housing benefit is likely to pay for the accommodation.
Not sure where this extra accommodation actually comes from, and I'm sure many on waiting lists will ask the same question.
Myriad of issues though. How do you educate a young girl or boy if they don't even speak our language? If we are going to spread refugees around the country, there will be kids everywhere, rather than a whole classroom of refugees.
Personally, I think spreading them all over the country is the worst possible outcome. For everyone involved.0 -
Presume they will jump LHA queues? Where I live has a 5yr wait on the housing list0

Not cost effective.
A purpose made camp would allow the teachers amongst them to educate the young. There is nothing wrong in encouraging self help.
A camp would upset Cherie Blair however..

Our local hospital last year to get translators in to cope with different 87 languages\dialects in order to communicate with patients. Explains why the cost of NHS is rising........0 -
I am sure there is plenty of room in HenleyFew people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0

Don't be ridiculous.
NHS budget is roughly £100 billion
NHS translation budget in 2012 was £23 million

As a UK taxpayer for over 20 years I would prefer the government to spend MY money on helping and housing people in genuine need such as refugees from Syria than supporting lazy English people who cannot be bothered to work and choose to live their life on benefits. The "I can't get a job" line does not cut it with me as a good friend of mine came to this country 2 years ago speaking only a little English and within 8 weeks found a job and has been employed ever since and now speaks English very well. Remember these people did not choose to be born in Syria.0

Money is money. Local trust is forecasting a £17 million deficit this year. Many are under severe financial pressure.0 -
The truth is nobody knows do they ?
Not near any of middle class lefty brigade is the only known answer, they would help if they could and hey they made a donation to some charity.
The only credible answer is they will queue jump the social housing waiting list.
So, in reality, they get someone else's house who has spent years on a waiting list in overcrowded conditions or bed and breakfast.
Like most silly leftie ideas, it falls to the working class to mop up the spill once they are bored and on to the next lets beggur up Britain idea.I do Contracts, all day every day.0
