Excuse me, why do I have to pay £2 for a small coffee to drink in? It makes no difference to me that it's served in glass cup. It would be better to have it in a paper cup which is more hygienic.

Helvetia - I do ,t think you,ve grasped the point of this OS money saving board - most of us would take a coffee with us along with something HM to munch on.

I adore 'proper' coffee and we are lucky enough to own a bean to cup machine at home, which we spend £5 a month on proper beans - each work day morning I put a double cup of coffee in a thermal flask to take to work, which we would also do at a weekend if we were heading out - nothing better than a good people watch, sat by the sea, along with a HM cake or scone.

At the end of the day, it's up to each of us what we deem 'worth' our money - if having a coffee from a huge coffee shop makes you happy then go for it - if I had to part with my hard earned cash, I would prefer to give it to a local private cafe, but that's just me.

It's not what we spend, it's how we spend - so as I said, you don,t need out 'permission' to buy expensive coffee - if it's worth it to you, then that's that - savour every drop.....
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
