Is the on demand and catch up via the Virgin box ?
if so, its not likely the broadband connection at fault, as they dont use the broadband to deliver that, it comes down the TV connection (althou technically it comes down the same cable) But it isn't linked to your broadband speed.

Go into your "My Virgin Media" website and navigate to the > TV > Known problems information click box . Looked recently and it appears they are having some known issues with their system affecting demand and catch up, from memory it said fix date was 8th Sept.You scullion! You rampallian! I dont think there is a fault, its just the service.
Catchup has a lower bit rate than normal tv, itv for example is pretty bad and channel 5HD on demand is really good. The speed of broadband is irrelevant as virgin STB boxes dont use your broadband connection.0 -
