 That was a mere error caused by tiredness! I missed the darn quote button! Ok so I might be a teensy bit grumpy :o What are you doing in here anyway? Arms stopped serving you ? :rotfl: just thought I would add some grumpiness :p

Just to add something, my friend uses a access ramp on their vehicle for her son and always goes in forwards so that noone parks too close, something learned after all the stickers in the world weren't noticed by what I can only pressume are blindfolded drivers. What it says on the sticker won't matter if they're plain ignorant.

**Park too close and I'll sh*t on your bonnet** might be effective ? If you want to go down that route of course.

    Hi Serendipity
I have no suggestions to make about your sign, but you ID reminded me of a phone call I took last term from a parent who rang to complain about the list of spellings their child had been given. At the teacher was unavailable I asked if I could take a messeage. The parent wanted to complain as the word Serendipity was on the list to be learnt, the parent stated that there was no such word & so why was it on the spelling list.
I explained that it was a real word & also explained the meaning, the parent disagreed, so I made an appointment for the parent to come in & see the teacher & warned the teacher to have a dictionary with them.

    Hi Serendipity

Just an alternative thought: personally I cringe whenever I see 'humourous' car stickers, before I even read them, and I don't know why, maybe because so many of them are really cheesy. For that reason I might miss out and not really get the point if your request about parking were wrapped up in what appears to be a joke sign. Another thing is that once I get home at night from work, I am so tired and hungry, I just want to get into the house and so I'm not easily distracted form that mission.

There is no way in the world that I would ever intentionally inconvenience another driver, esp one with access requirements... but because of the things above, I'd suggest that a bold, eye-catching and assertive request would better draw my attention. The ebay sign looks like a formal order rather than a joke... and I always try to obey reasonable orders even though I am frequently too tired for jokes. So I'd go for something more formal, if it were me. :)

    Good luck

oi grumpy b*ll*cks!! i wasn't talking about you, you actually tried to be funny :p

not mentioning any names but it was aimed at Bogof_babe and jcr16

Ooh sorry, I have recently had a SoH bypass on the DT board :D .

Seriously, I realised my offering was not of the SoH variety, but I thought the primary objective of the request was to get the message across. As someone else has mentioned, sometimes an attempt at wit that escapes the humour level of the reader might do more harm than good. It might have the opposite effect, like Baby on Board stickers do to me :o . I tend to think "well that's your problem not mine".

A courteous request, not too long-winded, will appeal more to the majority of people (and achieve the desired result) I think.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D
