  • Shirley- I like the wedding photos taken when the bride and groom have just had the confetti thrown at them.

When we got married we only had about 25 people to the ceremony and we wrote a list of the photos we wanted. We wanted some with just friends, some with just my family, just DH's family, both sets of parents etc etc. Maybe ask them to think about who they want to have in different groups, then it's easier to organise.

I did ask them, that's the problem. I think I'm going to think about the photos that I think and then discuss that list with them.

Right, I've had enough for today. I am totally shattered. My sundays at the moment end when The Chase comes on, which it does in a minute. 1 last job to do, change the bedding, but I'll do that just before I go to bed.

Right, I've managed to fold and put away 4 loads of washing and put one load of whites in the machine. That should be finished in about another 30 mins, so will put that in TD and make sure that it is all put away before bedtime to avoid another washing mountain like I had to put away tonight. Suprisingly I didn't seem to get much done, but it has made a big difference to the amount of space in the bedroom now. :)

Off to do wipe the sides down in the kitchen now, and then empty the DW ready to do dinner.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Hi all! Am back for another week but am having to follow my own list because of my massive to do list for moving. Decided I'm not going to post a weekly to do list as get overwhelmed looking at it and then can't be bothered. If I can achieve this tomorrow I'll be thrilled:

    Start packing garage
    [strike]Take charity bags[/strike]
    Order royal mail redirect
    Ironing whites
    [strike]2 x WM
30 wash for my jeans (they're skinny enough without risking them skrinking! or is it my bum thats expanding?)
    Hoover through and tidy[/strike]
    Medical at 2pm

DH - Ring Police re Shot Gun licence
    Ring BT
    Ring Talktalk
    Write/fax Sky
Ring and chase mortgage - again!
    Update cow at new house

ooh, had a mad hour in spare room packing so all finished in there (was main storage area and had empited loft in there to sort) think this will be the worst room so well pleased I got it sorted.

Looking forward to a new week. I will organised and motivated, I will be organised and motivated, I will be organised and motivated............

I made a start on the kitchen list. The big job was emptying the fridge entirely and took the shelves out (it's only a little under the worktop one) and I also wiped the cutlery drawer out. I've run out of hot water now though!

    Manic Monday - Kitchen
    Level One
    Clean floors
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front[/STRIKE]
    Level Three
Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Clean oven (if it needs it)
    • Clean under small appliances
    • Give pans a good thorough clean (and where they are stored)

Shirleypark, the coolest wedding photo I've seen was taken just before the reception. The photographer got access to an upstairs room and had the entire wedding party out on the lawn. A nice one for the couple to hang in the house for friends to see rather than for the album. My Bro had a similar one on some fab staircase at their venue.

My pans are heavy bottomed stainless steel, lil_me. Where they're manky is where the handle joins the pan 'cos it kind of doesn't fully join. A niggly gap that collects..well.. and the bottoms aren't too shiney either.

    Evening all :hello:

Yes, OH and I getting on and being best mates is helping alot. I couldn't really hate him if I tried, after all he gave me a beautiful daughter :D The main problem is other people attitudes towards our split - we still haven't been able to tell his parents as they're on holiday in Europe somewhere until the 28th and I don't know whether it's out perception of things or not, but things felt awkward at my parents today. We're just taking our time, being totally honest with each other and would you believe we are getting on better now we've split than we did when we were together - the pressure of more kids/marriage etc are off us and it's made a big difference.:rotfl::rotfl:Hell I even wore make-up and big hooped earrings today for the first time in a while :rotfl::rotfl: We just need to space and time to work things through without other people interferring. Neither of us wants this to end on bad terms as we're so close. We still love each other but only as friends, nothing more. Oh and I'll still be referring to him as OH until someone else comes along, only then will it switch to XOH :p

Anyways, so far since we got back from my parents I've erm....made tea (pasta), folded the laundry on the maiden and erm.. put the rubbish out  I'm planning on starting over with the flying tomorrow. I've just borrowed Labyrinth from my parents so DD can sit and watch that while I tackle the kitchen and laundry (where does it all come from?:mad: ). I also need to tackle the finances as OH gets paid tomorrow and it will be the first "proper" wage packet since we finally sorted out the tax problems we've had  We're pretty convinced that he won't be £200 a month better off as he was last month :rotfl::rotfl: We'll see tomorrow.

Right, I'm off to play games, and when OH gets off the phone he can wash the dishes ;) I might put a washload on tonight so it can hang overnight on the maiden as the weather forecast is 30% chance of rain and mostly cloudy tomorrow  I have at least 2 loads  Night Night all xxxxx

Friday I'm taking photos for a friends wedding. This is the first wedding I have ever taken the photos of and I'm dead nervous as there is no chance to take them again if I screw up. When I asked what photos they wanted, I got told, erm.. the usual !! So what are your favourite wedding photos, either your own or someone elses, I need some inspiration.

Thinking about this has brought back some lovely memories of one of the best days of our lives and has had me sat here smiling with moist eyes I must admit :)

We had some great pics taken at our wedding. Some of my faves were OH leaning on the gate post of the church before the service, all the main men (groom, bestman, Dad's, ushers) stood in a row tossing their top hats in the air, same group of men stood in a row arm's like Fred Astaire would do at the end of a dance IYSWIM! A group pic of everyone who was there taken from above (like Solway describes above), this one worked well as there were no formal placings apart from OH and me being in the middle of the pic.

As for the 'usual' pics our photographer went thru' his standard list before the day to make sure he had all bases covered and we added any extra's we thought of eg me and my godmother. It's a good idea to double check who's who and whose who's partner, and if you get that would you explain to me!!!! :rotfl:

Are both parents still alive/together/divorced/remarried? What about grandparents.

We had our niece and nephew as attendants (3 years old), I asked what he would do if they didn't want to co operate and he said don't worry I will get some good pics of them and he did. They both carried teddy's dressed like they were and in at least one pic my niece was holding a stick instead of her teddy!!!!! But she was smiling and having a lot of fun.

Good luck Shirley I am sure you will do a sterling job :)
