The instruction to call an 0845 number raises other concerns and appears to breach consumer regulations that came into force on 13 June 2014.

NEVER phone a PPC (or debt collector)!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I would be inclined to take everything I bought back to ASDA and say it's too expensive when added to the parking charge you got from the scammers that ASDA employ to fleece their genuine customers.

  • Thank-you everyone and Northlakes that letter is amazing, I won't tell you what I had written as compared to your you'd think my 6 year old wrote it!

Fruitcake, I would take it all back but I'm wearing the clothes I bough as just returned to work and the kids are already playing with the toys!

Ian011, that's an interesting piece of information I will store if I still get no satisfaction from ASDA.

Again many thanks every one. You are all amazing for helping me (and lots of others), I really appreciate it.

  • I wouldn't have a clue ampersand, I'm too soft, I would have just paid it if my husband and friend hadn't told me not to and to find out if there's anything I could do about it!

On a positive not after using Northlakes letter Roxie has called me just now and said if I take my receipt down to the store and explain what happened and my emails with her she is certain they will put a request to cancel the ticket in. I shall keep you all updated.

Sorry for being such a softie and many thanks x

Tell Roxie to instruct the PPC to cancel this.

Don't pu ssyfoot around. ASDA employ "not so smart parking" so they are the principle and the parking company are acting as their agents. Therefore this is ASDA's fault and they need to cancel this disgraceful PCN. Tell her you can't afford to shop there any more if it isn't cancelled!
