What can I expect from 3?

Hey guys and gals, after much deliberation I have taken out a contract with 3 from onestopphoneshop on the Nokia 6680. I was on O2 and enjoyed using wap. I have read that 3 have 'a walled Internet' is this different to standard wap? I really only read bbc news and sport on wap.
I have looked on the 3 website, but I don't fully understand everything that they offer.
So what can I expect from the mobile browsing capabilities of my new phone? How much will wap browsing cost? I'm going to be on the Talk and Text 600 tariff.

Thanks

You can only go on '3' websites :( So you can't visit the BBC

You don't get charged for browsing on the 3 network services :)

It is a walled garden but it is quite a large garden to browse. It would be better if the knocked down the wall so users can go where they want but I don't envisage 3 doing it anytime soon I'm afraid.

Everything that is pay for (eg: video's) is clearly marked before you get to it so you don't have to worry about clicking anything that's pay for without knowing :)

The text based (with few images) is free - I like oddly enough (you get some screamers) in news section of 3 services.

3 services is very easy to access, operate and understand, so no worries - have fun ;)

    Kind regards

    If nothing goes wrong.....Brilliant!

    If something goes wrong.......Crap!

You'll need a degree in speaking Mongolian if something does go wrong.

Theres always a reason for them selling cheap tariff's........cheap labour at the other end.

I've heard rumours from another forum (http://www.3g.co.uk/3GForum/) that the 'wall' will be coming down.

Personally I have a had an awful time with 3.

They are really good value for money but there after sales is poor, e.g. customer services. But they are getting better (slowly).

Think about your worst nightmare and then times that by 100... that is 3.

As somebody said earlier... if everything goes ok...then it's great (only know a few people),
But If something goes wrong (and it probably will) then only God can help you.

If something goes wrong, get in touch with exec office and it will be fixed immediately... customer services are a waste of time.

I ended up emailing the chairman directly - twice!

If you contact OTELO they will give you the contact details of 3 executive office. I was given a contact name and address.

I wrote to the executive office and they replied within 10 days. My problem was resolved quickly and I was compensated.
