Dr Dragon is waiting to hear from the Legal Beagles but we are hoping for some news soon. Stitching wise I have managed some stitching on Durham and a small amount on one of the silhouette ones from Heritage Stitchcraft (The Hikers), this is to try and take my mind off stuff!

After extensive (and painful) tests it turns out that my broken pelvis has trapped a nerve or two and it should go away in its own sweet time - it it hasn't gone away in a month I may need to have physio *sigh*. So sort of good news there but the physio would involve two taxi journeys each time (and whilst I have no objections to paying taxi fares at £15 a throw it gets costly!), and they may want me to have DAILY physio!!!!:eek::eek:

Weight - I got down to 289 pounds (131 kg) there has been a temporary glitch upwards but I am fairly sure I can shift that quickly which means I am still on track for losing a pound a week by Yule!

A bit of nice, a bit of nasty for you it seems.... when I hear of somebody in constant pain like this, its awful to think of it - but great to hear of the weight loss again too, that has *got* to help your general health. Good on you!

Thanks Karmacat - I will confess to being fed up with fighting with my weight but I KNOW I need to lose it for my healths sake - maybe I need to concentrate on stitching more and hope that counted cross stitch burns kcals!!

I hope that you won't think i am sticking my nose in here, but (and i understand if you don't want to post this on a public forum) If you get free NHS prescriptions and if you have a card, all you need to do is go to the desk in the hospital and get your fares back..they may only pay a percentage, but if you are deemed necessary to have a taxi, and they can't provide alternative drivers..they will give you the fare. I would also enquire into getting free transportation if you don't get your prescriptions paid for, especially if you have to have daily physio.
Great news on the weight loss too:T

Forgot to add if you have not claimed already they will backdate for three months.

Hi Bob - nope you are not sticking your nose in at all :D, I do not qualify for free prescriptions because neither Incapacity Benefit nor DLA is means tested , at the moment Dr Dragon and I are hoping to do our own form of physio :o:p:o, which would negate needing the taxis and should aid and abet the weight loss! :rotfl:
