Trust me I know (guess what we have!) - but the gas cooker CAN be lit with a match.
Looks as though we may not be going away for Christmas now (more heavy snow due around this way) so I hope to get Dr Dragon helping me with some clearing and then I want to STITCH!
Got my dieticians appointment through (hmm reading the information they sent I am not sure they will help me! They keep talking about people who over eat - I UNDER eat!)Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Hoping you can manage to get on with that stitching.
Hope your appointment isn't too far ahead .0 -
The dieticians appointment is for first thing on the 5th January and I have to fill a 4 day food diary in before hand , I'm waiting for them to bring in the spurious "Eat 5 a day" and the spurious "no more than 14 units a week" both of which have no scientific basis (and I eat more that 5 a day at the moment in any case!)
I am also waiting for the "Eat nuts they are a healthy source of fats and vitamins and they will help you lose weight" yep they will help me lose weight and vital signs! I am really not holding out much hope for this can you tell :rotfl:Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I didn't know nuts can help you lose weight.I thought they were fattening.
You've got to give the dietician a chance though.t's a good idea to fill the food diary in as I'm sure they can help with undereating as well as they'll be trained in allsorts of eating problems.0 -

I guess I am feeling a little cynical as I went to see one where I used to live - they never checked my food diary (which I had to fill out for a week I might add!), just took one look at me and said I was overeating and to cut down, weighed me and handed me a diet sheet (all this took less than 10 minutes - the appointment was supposed to be for an hour!), every day for this 7 day diet (which I was not supposed to waver from) there was an ounce of Brazil nuts as a mid afternoon snack - she didn't listen to me at all (and I didn't go back and told my GP why as well!):rolleyes:Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup
