Didn't sign any sold as seen agreements. Just a receipt.
Took a picture of under the car. What needs to be fixed. Unfortunately can't post pictures on here for some odd reason because I'm a new member.

@Retrogamer. Very good post. Thanks
They said it's leaking the shock absorber and can cause an accident.
I posted a link of what needs to be fixed. Any idea how I could do it myself? My neighbours going to take a look at it soon (he's a mechanic), maybe he'll be able to do it.0 -
OP, fix the exhaust for £50, run it until the MOT expires and scrap it. Cheap motoring. You can't expect any more for a car that costs the same as a cheap mountain bike0

This sounds like the best option!
Yeah I know. The alloys on my mercedes cost more than this car so wasn't really expecting much. Just something to last at least a year before I scrap it.
The garage guy said he wouldn't weld it because it'll break again after you go over a speed bump? What's your opinion?0 -
When does the MOT run out?
TBH, buying a car at that price when you aren't very mechanically minded is risking this exact situation.0 -
Mot will run out feb 2016. So will get a good amount of use out of it then scrap it.0

Looks like the metal is rotten around the flange so a repair may be difficult but not impossible. Some garage or exhaust place should be able to cut out the rotten steel and weld the flange back onto a healthy pipe of pipe then join it to the cat.
About £50 / £70 tops i'd imagine.All your base are belong to us.0
