Refund for cooker

How much is the cooker currently selling for?0

The cooker is selling for £500. I have received a letter back from the insurers and basically they said they are not budging on their offer as they have complied with everything, so in a nutshell I should be able to buy the same cooker for the £250 they have refunded me via argos vouchers. Bearing in mind the £250 included the £80 it cost me to take out the insurance. I rang the insurers to ask them why I can buy a range cooker from for £160 but surprisingly the lady dealing with it was not in and I was told she would call me Monday, no call up to now. In the meantime I received a cheque for £90 from Argos saying all customers who bought this cooker were given the wrong energy rating and so a refund of £90 to pay towards the gas used! I am now going to right to Argos regarding the shoddy cooker and poor customer service from the insurance they MISS sold me.0

And I'm just pointing out that that is an unreasonable way of thinking. No, I am saying that if you deduct what it cost me for the insurance then in reality they are offering me £160.
You have been refunded £250.
As an aside, £250 minus £80 is not £160.
Can you possibly provide a link to the insurance?
I ask because you have told us that the policy states that they will refund enough to by a similar cooker new, yet they have failed to do that.
If they are not sticking to the terms of the policy then you have good grounds to fight it.
What was their response to:Then the question you need to ask the warranty supplier is:Why are you not adhering to the warranty terms?.0 -
