Get a cheap low insurance banger insure yourself on that as comprehensive so you're allowed to drive ANY other car as third party. Technically you can even drive a Ferrari for under £300 a year if you have no motoring claims or convictions

Are you still here? Obviously MSE haven't bothered to action any of the reports yet.

OP - ignore this drivel. It is incorrect, like everything else this idiot posts.

It's been removed because the poster is a troll and the advice was dangerously incorrect and could lead to legal problems for anyone who followed it.

Aren't these cheap classic car insurance deals based on it being your second car and you need to be insured as the main driver on another car?

I wouldn't know how cheap a classic car is to insure if you declare it as your main/only car?

Make sure you use a cashback website like Quidco when purchasing insurance (if applicable) as some providers will offer anything up to £70 cashback for a car insurance policy.
    Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

    Savings target June 18 - £22,281.99 / £25,000

Thanks for the information people . will get back to this thread as soon as I started to compare and get the insurance .
  • Don't forget to get quotes from companies like Direct Line who do not come up on comparison sites. Also try different criteria, when I increased the annual milage on my existing insurance the price went down!!!!
