I hate my new sofa

I feel for you Knightsmile - I have recently had the same experience!
I bought 2 leather sofas on impulse. I NEVER buy anything expensive on impulse...or not until now. If I say they were reduced by £1500 pounds (ex showroom) you will guess how bloomin' expensive they were.
I measured the width but didn't really account for the 'bulk' of leather sofas. When the delivery men couldn't get them through the doors without dismantling them I knew I was in trouble.
Once in the room they seemed so BIG. However, we have tried them in different positions and I have to say that after a fortnight, it is very much as Vampgirl has said - they seem to have settled and be easier on the eye.
I don't know whether you have experienced a similar feeling to me - almost torturing yourself because you feel that you have made an expensive mistake. Hopefully though you will soon find a way of incorporating them into your room and begin to enjoy them.0 -

i purchased them from Furniture Village and looking at their FAQ I cant return them as they were made to order.
Just as a side point, not that I think it applies in your case, if you order them from the internet, the distance selling regulations still apply as long as the options you pick from are standard.
So a company cannot claim the distance selling rights do not apply as the item was wade to order, unless you specified specific things, not from a drop down menu (such as typing in a size, or sending them a swatch of material to match).
I guess you bought them in store, so this isn't the case here...
leave them for now, I guess they'll settle down in your minds eye.0
