  • ok , I tried the settings in win media player and dragged a couple of MP4s into the library , did all the settings (they were right) , more streaming options sends you to network and setting streaming options were devices are shown and set up ,

the XBMX (openelec) is configured as a DNLA unit , but no go

I have one of those sum micro 4 things , and it streems to that ok

problem is the sum micro is sat on my desk with a 9in monitor , and being used as a "jukebox" for music via a nice amp and access to my music on my nas drive ,

as I said it right clicks and "casts to" (rather than play to in win 7) ok , but I cannot find a media player that will "project it" , I thought I had fixed it with Film n TV , my PC has Bluetooth , so has the intel nuc , thought they might be talking that way ,, but no
  • Ah perhaps firewall port I am just off to bed it may be multicast port xxx will try to find it quickly , but if not will check again tomorrow. If they are on the same network then it's the windows firewall, if not prhaps it's the router. 7609 sticks in my mind but I have had a long day...

    Hi
Well myself I use a copy of Linux Mint 17 live.

Then when it's done I download ... chntpw

This will with a little CLI delete the password so you can login and create a new one.
    http://www.chntpw.com/
    http://www.chntpw.com/guide/

just a few minutes and a few lines of typing.

You can also reset windows 7 passwords using Trinity Rescue Kit http://trinityhome.org/Home/index.php?content=TRINITY_RESCUE_KIT_DOWNLOAD&front_id=12&lang=en&locale=en
or by using the Offline NT Password utility http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/
