Hi For existing customers, the switch will go through more quickly (about 4 or 5 working days) and you'll be able to see the new tariff on the first page of your online account when logged in. It'll be on the right hand side. If you select this option, you'll go to another page that has details of the tariff.
Hope this explains mihaid.

thanks. How can I tell on my next bill when the old tariff stopped and the new one started?0 -

Hi Chef1980uk
Tariff switches for existing customers have been going through in about 4 to 5 working days so the MSE Collective should be showing online by now. Tariffs are listed on the right hand side of the first page when logged in. What does it say on yours?
With the Monthly Direct Debit, it may be you're coming up to the annual review. If this is the case, where there are only a couple of payments or less until the review, we lock the system down. This is to stop too many changes immediately before the review as we've found this can cause a bit of a miscalculation for the upcoming 12 months. I'm guessing, though, and could be way off the mark.
Thanks for giving us regular meter readings. This always helps keep things accurate. If you are coming up to the annual review, any credit over a fiver at this point will automatically be sent back to your bank. You'll then be able to reset the payments based on your new prices and usage over the past 12 months.
As I say, I'm speculating rather a lot. If you drop an email to the address in my Profile, I'll be happy to take a look and give better advice. Up to date meter readings would help too.

Hi mihaid
The tariff changeover will be detailed on your next bill. It's often on the second page. We'll bill up to the tariff switch date (the day we received the application from MSE) on your old prices and from then up to the present on the new MSE prices. Usually, we'll estimate meter readings for the day of the switch. These will be based on usage over the previous 12 months. The names of the tariffs (both old and new) will be clearly stated above the breakdown of prices/readings/usage.
Just a quick heads up. Customers registered with our website can produce their own bills online. If you pop in readings, you'll have the option of seeing what balance would come about or actually issuing a bill. You'll be able to see this online within the next 24 hours.
Hope this helps mihaid.

Taking advantage of Energy Switch 3 I changed from EDF back to EON - who I've been with before - and everything went smoothly with a transition date of 30 September. I have heard nothing from EDF apart from a 1st October letter saying they are sorry to lose me. They owe me about £23 and it is obvious that if I hadn't found a claim form on their website I could have whistled for that money. They have closed my account so I can't log in.
If I owed them money I bet they would have been contacting me as soon as the switch occurred. As it is I have to wait 10 days for them to get back to me. Not impressed EDF - if you can get an email bill to me within seconds of me submitting a routine meter reading then why can't you automatically refund an overpayment on account closure?0 -
Hi Mearns and welcome to the Forums.
Glad the switch went okay and thanks for coming on board. Thought I'd pop on with a bit of information that might help. As your new supplier, we'll send our opening meter readings to your old supplier. They'll use the same readings to close your account with them and issue their final bill. This is to make sure the same energy is only charged once.
The readings go via a third party who check they're valid. Can't speak for other suppliers but, where there's no snags, we look to have final accounts sorted in about a couple of weeks.
Hope this is of interest.

Hi Malc,
Bizarrely by what must be sheer coincidence I received my confirmation email today so no need for you to look into it now but thank you for the offer.0 -
You're welcome Chef1980uk. Glad you've received confirmation.

Hi firsttimemover
I'm really sorry you're having such a poor experience. I agree with Dan, it's disappointing we told you what we did. As he says, I suspect the advisor you spoke to couldn't see the details and made the wrong call. Due to their nature, collective switches are dealt with by a dedicated team and until they've done their stuff the relevant details won't be on general view.
I see Dan's escalated this. Have you had a response from us yet? Happy to check if you drop an email to the address in my Profile. There's also contact details for the dedicated support I mentioned in the FAQs on the CEC's Big Energy Switch 3 page.
Once sorted, you'll be able to keep an eye on how things are going through an online tool called 'Track My Switch.' You'll just need to register with our website to use this.
Sorry again for the poor advice but hope this is of interest.

Hi Malc,
Thank you for the offer of looking into this for me, however I can't see an email address on your profile?
I've heard nothing from MSE or E.on yet since MSE replied to my email saying they'd look into it on Friday - it did say it may take a few days to come back to me, but if you are able to let me know your email address, it would be great if I could send across my details for you to look into.
Thank you0 -
Hi firsttimemover
Sorry you're struggling to find our email address in my Profile. It's WebForumAdvisors@eonenergy.com.
I know the later format of the forums hasn't been updated with all our details yet. MSE don't like company reps posting such information on the open forums but hopefully they won't mind this time as they're aware there's an issue with the new style as far as our details are concerned. I'm sure Dan will let me know if they don't approve.
Look forward to hearing from you firsttimemover.

Thanks Malc, however I believe everything is sorted now - I got home last night to the welcome pack in my letterbox. Still no emails, but my email address is down as the first part of my mobile number, so that could explain that one!
Hopefully that's solved everything now and it says I should be switched by the 29th. In fairness although they didn't update me until today, it looks like MSE did react quickly to my email on the 9th as the welcome letter is dated the 10th so can't ask for much better than that.0
