EE. Terrible, taken my money even though I'm no longer a customer.

I'm so glad to be rid of EE but now have to battle with them to get my money back.
I moved over to plusnet last month and called EE the previous month as my contract was due to be up. They said even though I'd called, I didn't need to do anything, just call plusnet and set up a new account and all would be fine. I did that and recieved a standard letter from EE telling me a request had been made to cancel and to call if it was wrong etc etc, plus I received sales calls for a couple of weeks trying to get me to stay.
Fast forward to 10 days ago when lo and behold, I find EE have billed me almost £30 (70p call charges and nearly £30 for advance payment for their broadband for the next month). By now, I was a plusnet customer. When calling EE, they decided to inform me that they'd had no notification of me cancelling so they could action a cancellation right away but I'd have to pay for their service fore 14 days (standard cancellation).
They suddenly backed down when I called them on their bull by pointing out the cancellation letter and retention calls I'd received and assured me that I'd only be charged the 70p on my bill.
Fast forward to today and guess what, the £30 has gone out. Therefore, I was lied to. Now they're claiming I'll have to wait a month for a refund! What an utterly dreadful company.

You dont have to wait a month. Tell them its fine and you will sort it yourself. Go to the bank and invoke the DD guarantee and cancel the DD. Your money will probably be back in your account the same day.0
