  • Thanks well well after speaking to a very nice person at Derby City Council. who pointed me in the right direction on there website and checked detail with me good news managed to find out who owns the site and it turns out the site is in the middle planning and being sold. ( got the impression they will be glad to see the back of this car park and Excl). The new owner is looking at turning it into a trampoline centre and cafe. I've also got a 30 min free legal advice appointment to confirm my rights on Weds next week.
One question what size does the lettering need to be for warnings as I went back today and checked and all 3 lines come at less than 2.5 cm ????

I suggest you check the IPC CoP for any such queries , which may also be similar to the BPA CoP

  • No problem Ralph will do. I just spoken to the Land owner and what can I say they do not wish to know!! There only comment was to Deal with Excl. Well done Speeds of Alfreton one company I will not be dealing with and will advise others not to as they clear do not care about there customer care and image.

They are probably on a backhander ........

If you feel the need to contact them again ask for a named person in the company if this gets to court ...........

I hope they do not have a facebook page ;)

  • Thank will keep that one in mind. Does anyone know if Excel are big on taking to court? I know a few others are.
  • You can check daily court cases on www.bmpa.eu under 'court' and Excel court cases under 'companies'. According to this Excel took 3 people to court in first quarter 2015. May be even less now they have jumped ship from BPA/POPLA to IPC/IAS.
  • Hi quick update. Had legal advice today and the guy was very fair and also had a PCN by the same company I emailed him photos and believes I have a 50/50 chance if goes to court. One thing i forget to say was the paydisplay ticket parking street name spelling in not correct but the PCN is. But don't think I can get out on that one lol

Sadly this will probably just involve taking your name and address and booking you in for a non-free legal advice appointment.

But let us know next week if I have been overly cynical.

I doubt whether any solicitor is as up to speed on the issues as the posters here.
