Help with dog neutering costs?

I have searched on here but the threads on neutering financial help are fairly old.
Can anyone tell me if there is any help with the cost of neutering a dog living not far from Lincoln? It seems most of the help is for specific areas, like NE England, London or Wales - I haven't found anyone who can help in Lincolnshire.
Thanks for any advice!!

Hi
I would ask your local dog wardens to see if they know of any subsidised schemes. You may find that they are for people on benefits though. Or try someone like the Blue Cross or ask your vet.
HTHFind out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0 -
Try the PDSA - https://www.pdsa.org.uk/vet-services/eligibilityAll posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0

Phone your local Dogs Trust, they some times issue vouchers you can take to your Vets xRIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. Thanks so much.
Our vet is part of the PDSA thing but the neutering is only for people up north or in Wales. I will call them tomorrow and see what they have to say.:happylove0 -
what breed is the dog?
There are some schemes specifically for bull breeds0 -
Hi. Try the Blue Cross veterinary hospital at Grimsby.

You will need to check if you are eligible for help. They have grants and vouchers for people on means tested benefits. Worth a try.

Ours charges £145 plus £25 for microchipping. I haven't found any cheaper yet but don't want to go too far from home in case there are complications. We will pay it if I can't find any help, but it will take quite a while longer to save up.
We took the dog on not realising he hadn't been neutered - his owner died unexpectedly and none of his family could have him. We'd have taken him even if we knew though, he is a lovely thing. We feel very lucky to have him. He isn't aggressive towards males but I would hate for him to unintentionally impregnate a female dog, so I won't let him off the leash until he's been done.:happylove0 -
lots of places offer free micro chipping so I wouldn't pay the vet for thatI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans
