Tesco good idea but can't afford to put 6k away at moment
No reason why you need to put £6k away. That's the maximum the accounts hold. I'd not realised we'd already given suggestions before that had been ignored. Ultimately the only person that can sort this and get the best return is you, all we can do (again) is make suggestions.

    Gonna listen....

    TSB 5% regular saver
    Santander 123

They all look good so will consider them.

    Who mentioned Tesco Internet Saver?

These are current accounts as you've already been told.

You can have as much as you want in 2 x Tesco current accounts, but they only pay interest up to £3k (each)

All your advice has been good so far... Seen loads of good interest rate isa/bonds at 4/6% (Only down side is need current account with that bank)

these are the ones that interest me the most...

    Current account's

Tesco current account looks good (Downside can't have more than £3,000 to get the 3%)

Santander 123 looks good as you get cash back as well as 3% on balances between £3,000/£20,00 (Downside is you need 2 direct debits/£500 to come in/£2 fee)

Club Lloyds 4% on balances £4,000/£5,000 (Downside need to pay in £1,500 to avoid £5 fee/have 2 direct debits going out)

    Saving's account's

First direct Regular saver 6% (Downside fixed rate only for 12 months & need First Direct 1st account)

HSBC Regular saver 4%/6% (Downside fixed rate only for 12 months & need HSBC current account)

TSB Regular saver 5% (Downside fixed rate only for 12 months) (Good points TSB ClassicPlus)

Lloyds Regular saver 4% (Downside fixed rate for 12 months & need club lloyds/lloyds vantage account)

I haven't seen anything else that is good/better than these accounts.

    I was thinking of having
£2,000 in TSB Classic Plus (Move interest each month to other Accounts)
£250 Each month to TSB Regular saver (Will evaluate my options in 12 months)
£2,000/£3,000 keep in Tesco or Santander 123 Current account..
Keep rest of money in barclays account & use it for wages & barclaycard DD (Will keep the account for the time being)

Good so far, apart from the fact you can have £6000 in Tesco accounts.

I can't understand why you would have any account to hold any amounts of cash and not get paid interest on it when alternatives are available that will pay you for that money you are holding.

Well hopefully it will still be possible to get 2 sole Tesco current accounts by the time you get your NVQ. Look what happened last time you procrastinated about TSB...don't let history repeat itself!
