maybe OT a wee bit, but is it possible to get screw fitting daylight bulbs for my big ikea lamp? I dont think I have SAD but I do have bad ME and am sure the sun /summertime makes it less severe. Just thought one of these bulbs might make all the difference..0

The longer curtain rail went up yesterday with freshly laundered curatins & clean window & frame
The old kitchen rail will hopefully go into the bathroom & the spare bit from the kitchen one in the downstairs loo. I found a pair of curtains in a charity shop for £2:49 with great pencil pleat rufflet still in place, so one will hang over most of the front door & at least cover the window & letterbox.
The other curtain will be [STRIKE]mangled[/STRIKE] remodelled into some sort of working hanging for the bathroom & loo. I'm  about a roman blind effect, but need to do a bit of research first to remind myself of how to make them
As to lining existing curtains---I'm not that sure our plasterboard walls would take any extra weight without putting in extra rails, so will have to have a good think about that too.
All this thinking is making my brain hurt :eek:Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Righty ho, tomorrow i am going to morrisons to stock up on their 50p lunchbox deals, grab a few packs of yeast, have a good trawl around wilko's and the £ shop for cheap candles.
I could be swayed in to a few charity shops on the way....although i only have £15 this week....0 -
these biobulbs are an incredible buy. They are genuinely half price and the company is A1. I think once sold that will be it re them having the bulbs in. I managed to get 3 bayonet ones and I had been paying about £12 each previously

They need to be shortened. So do mine in my "posh" room - trying to bring myself to do it as I really like them long.
Don't cut them. Sew some buttons on the back and make loops on the back at the bottom - put the buttons far enough up so that they tuck into the top of the radiator - and fasten them up in winter. That way you can still have them long at other times.Clutter free wannabee 2021 /52 bags to cs. /2021 'stuff' out of the placeYOU CANNOT BE ALL THE GOOD THAT THE WORLD NEEDS, BUT THE WORLD NEEDS ALL THE GOOD YOU CAN BEtaken from Shelbizleee on YouTube - her copyright0 -
WELL - I never thought of that. What a good idea - thanks very much. I'll have a mooch round them tomorrow and see what I can do.0
