Poorbabe, same here - those boxes are so dear  and I'm not even sure I have SAD so was thinking a lightbulb would be more in price-range. I've seen those things that fade/get brighter gradually to help you wake up or sleep and I've been tempted. But from what you and mardatha say I think I will just get a bulb to see how I get on - at least it would be good for the knitting, one less excuse for dropped stitches or not doing it at all!
Am going to watch the Amish programme on C4 now ... always makes me want to go to Ikea to buy lots of storage jars!
Edit: Yay for you on the exercise (and choc) poorbabe! I seem to lean more to the choc than the exercise when I'm depressed but I know it's meant to be great for it.Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

I've just checked coal prices for here in London £11.05 for 25kg:eek:
Its cheaper for me to get them from the petrol station.
Mardatha is your bedroom window bigger than 40" x 64"?
I did finish the window quilt for DD's room yesterday, twice !
First time we put it up, she decided she couldn't live with the rustle of space blanket foil, so had to undo it, remove and then re sew, then when it was up she decided that it would look better not plain so wanted ribbon stitched on in stripes (vertical) looked nice, put back up, then decided doesn't like ribbon
She offered to unpick it and re sew, buy then I've run out of white cotton so will have to get some more tomorrow.
It looks and feels sooo much warmer than just a fleece at the window, looking forward to some really cold weather to test it0 -
I'll measure it in the morning annie. How much is in the garage bags though? My daughter got some and then worked out its almost double the price if you buy smaller bags from the garage.0
