Good point about flour storage - hadn't thought of freezing. Not too keen on the thoughts of beetley bread!

Some interesting info on the weevily things found in flour (Psocids), and how to avoid them.

    It's only a game

I have also read today that the price of dried fruit has risen dramatically, the price of dried apricots has gone up 64%, due to a terrible harvest in the middle east.
Raisins, sultanas and date prices have also risen, after a poor harvest in Turkey.
Bad news for our christmas puddings.
    :(

;) Felines are my favourite ;)

My stocks of bread flour have been frozen for 24 hours. I read somewhere (probably on here) that this stops any beasties.

The way things are going we're going to have to eat the fleeces.

Would freezing the flour and then defrosting and packing away be best or do peeps just leave it in the freezer until using it?

I`m not sure if i shall have the space to keep it all in the freezer

I`ve already bought a couple of extra bags to keep over winter.
