Hi all,
I've been looking for some velcro but can't seem to find any. I'm hoping maybe the big Asda will have some when I go tomorrow.
Is it sticky backed ? Im presuming it is because it's stuck to your windowframes - i thought you had to sew it on.0 -
Try in WHsmith if you want sticky stuff they sell it in a roll and in dot form.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Am I the only person who is fed up with this mild weather? I want to have the fire on and be able to wear my snuggly pj's and have a hot water bottle in bed
Instead I'm in the office with my jacket off and the cold fan on
Try moving to Scotland, that should solve your problem.I reserve the right not to spend.

my sloe gin is coming along nicely."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0

We've set ourselves the challenge this year of using the heating less. We have plenty of warm clothes so we might as well use them. It's been cold in our house for a week or so but no heating as of yet. Every little helps!0

Think I am going to turn the heating back off as a dressing gown in the livingroom is making me too hot!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

I've stockpiled wood and coal, my larders and freezers are full, my homemade wines and damson and sloe gins are made and I'm well on the way to being prepared for xmas and now I want some proper crispy Auntumn weather - Is it too much to ask? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
A note to the people who hate winter - please don't shout at me
I know exactly what you mean, this is the first year I've ever been prepared for winter and I'm so looking forward to sitting warm and cosy in non draughty house with lovely thick curtains, draught excluders etc whilst knowing outside is cold/rainy/snowy. Instead last night I sat watching TV on the sofa in my shorts! Not complaining just find it a bit ironic. There is no issue so small that it can't be blown out of proportion0 -
Today up here the sun is shining for the first time in DAYS, the birdies are singing, it's warm and gorgeous. Mind you, it's early LOL! Plenty time for that to change ! Haven't had sun for ages and I so needed it..0

It is getting chilly
got cheap slippers and dressing gown primark, bundled up in the evenings with blanket! that heating is staying OFF!OU Law studentMay Grocery challenge£30/ £110 -
Wish the sun would shine here! It's mild enough, not needing the stotage heaters on yet, but still damp, misty and grey.
Had a log delivery last night and coal topped up on Tuesday, so that SHOULD see us through the next month or more. I've finished all the draught proofing, curtain hanging, bubble wrapping and fleece sticking, so it's down to maintaining heat levels now without breaking the bank. Legwarmers, wooly socks, thick jumpers all at the ready, but ever hopeful that the good weather eventually finds us to delay the onset of winter. So far, the cooking has been enough to keep the kitchen warm.
