Then I thought about using just fleece fabric to line right against the actual glass - ie cut the fabric to cover the entire window.
Has anyone done this? Do you just put it up at night and if so how do you fix it to the window? I was thinking about just rolling it up and using ribbons to tie it in a roll. Also does anyone know where I can buy cheap fleece by the metre on-line?
As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll add it to the Preparing For Winter thread, where you'll find lots more tips

I put an extra pair of curtains up in my bedroom last year. They were hung next to the window. I think I used an expanding curtain rod. They were light-weight and lined (from charity shop) and worked well. I haven't done it this year yet. As you can tell i'm not very far advanced with my preparations for winter!'Yaze whit yeh hive an ye'll niver wahnt'

I discovered fleece a couple of years ago and don't know what I'd do without it over the cold weather.
I found myself collecting more and more stuff PJs dressing gown, socks hot water bottle covers, blankets ect,ect and I just find it so comfy and snuggly it realy made the cold weather more comfortable.
Best thing of all is how easy it washes and dries.
Just could'nt manage without it now.0 -
