Serious criminal neighbour problem

I recently created a thread detailing how my neighbour who i believe is a criminal, and worse still I suspect a voilent criminal. I detailed the kind of things I heard regarding the firearms they possess and the various drugs they sell.
I was alarmed by this so sought the advice of this community as to what action to take that would not put my neighbours and myself in jepordy in some sort of payback .
Now I listened to the advice, and planned to report this activity after I moved out. So today I arranged a move with my landlord, and she asked why I wanted to leave. I didn't want to mention because it's now a crime den, so I mistakenly said the new neighbours are a bit loud, due to fact I had a conversation with her assistant about the walls being to thin, but that it wasn't the neighbours fault, as to not cause trouble.
Now when I left, the landlord must of phoned this person and informed them of the noise complaints, because at 02:00am this morning, there were loud bangs on the wall in the other room next to there flat and I thought nothing of it, because it's a regular occurrence.
But after it stared sounding violent, I went to investigate, and over heard them having a heated discussion. I was about to close the door when I heard my name be mentioned in an angrily tone.
The gist of the discussion contained these key points. Eviction, neighbour, my name, my appearance, there gonna do me in (in some street terminology) I'm gonna shoot him, pass me the burner (Gun) his friend wouldn't and told him to calm down, but they started making other plans, and started ringing round his crew to come and help attack me.
His friend said I'm probably asleep, something about knocking on my door. The nutter was saying to his friend to give him the gun, and that he ain't gonna shoot me, just hurt me, and that I'm gonna get bloodied tonight.
Now without a weopon I doubt they could take me down, but they were waiting for people to show who probably could, so I had to leave the flat.
I called the police and they can't do anything because it was not a direct threat... Just overheard.
Now I'm on my relatives sofa and I'm thinking what can I do?
I have an appointment at the police station, but because the police didn't go round to them, they don't know I spoke to the law and Im wondering if I should just collect my stuff in daylight and sofa surf until I can find a new home? And not make a statement due it being more than obvious now, so a real safety concern.
Also, all the times they spoke of crime and the gun In their possession, they would not of known I could hear what was said, so they wasn't making arrangements to do me harm for effect.
Thank you for reading.

:doh:I told you not to trust that landlady and tell her anything! Oh well....whats done is done and no point in crying over spilt milk.
My first thought is that those neighbours almost certainly have worked out now that you could hear everything through the walls - courtesy of Dumb Bunny landlady. That being the case - I think there is a good chance they were deliberately saying what they did to "wind you up". That is - it may not have been a "real" conversation iyswim. More said to deliberately upset you than anything.
However, probably just as well you found an alternative bed for the night in those circumstances.
Personally, I'd be taking what the police said about "not being able to do anything - because it was just overheard" with a (large) pinch of salt. If nothing could be done about "overheard" things then how come anyone ever thinks it worthwhile tapping phones and the like? A recording of what was said might have been more effective at getting the police to take action possibly? For now - I wonder if you could go to someone "higher up the pecking order" in the police force? Who exactly did you tell in the police - was it just some call operator who answered the phone or a low-level police officer across a desk in police station?0 -
Just move, get on with your life. Simple.0

Most of these people are just smack heads and bulsh!tters..just move on..and when you have moved, report anything to the police anonymously in future..Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
-
Why oh why give any reason when things are this bad. I guess you have learnt that now the hard way.
If you do anything more you will antagonise them. Why do this? Just move on like you are doing, find a better place and don't give them another thought.
On moving out, do you have a group of friends to call on to help you move out? If I heard a friend in need like this I'd be round quicker than you could say criminal muppets.0 -
I would once out completely moved out report that you had seen these people with a gun.
The police would have to act on that. Do this in secret and do not let anyone know that it was you. They would have no reason to think it was you, it could have been anybody they have upset along the way.0 -

Complete epic fail in the way the OP handled this before they even moved out.0 -
"Without a weapon I doubt they could take me down"
You sound a bit of a gangsta yourself with statements like that, can't you get your own "burner" and go all medieval by bussin' a cap in their pony or summin? Or next time maybe mind your own business, keep your mouth shut and get on with your own life ? Nothing stopped you from moving without causing all this fuss did it? You sound like a bit of a paranoid fantasist to me0 -

Your right, I should of been more careful. I was asked why i wanted to leave and I don't no why I just said the neighbours are a bit loud. Never once have I mentioned what I heard, only the sex noises that I felt uncomfortable hearing. I can't belive she phoned after I said I spoke to the tenant even though I didn't... I was all happy last night as well because I had arranged my exit, I just had to wait 6 weeks until the new flat was ready. But now I am no longer remaining with the company.
You speak a lot of sense, and i have to admit that your point about pennie dropping on what I can hear is rather alarming, but I never mentioned I can hear specific things only noises. And I never spoken to the landlady about it, only the receptionist who is on holiday hence the LL being front of house for the first time in a long time.
I appreciate your advice, and would ask you to ignore
the people saying I'm a troll. It doesn't even make sense as I assumed a troll was a person who picks on another via their keyboard?0 -
Why have you posted my old threads? When I need advice, I ask. What's wrong with that?0
