That's nonsense!Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.0 -

It's far easier to drive a LHD vehicle abroad than your own UK vehicle abroad because your brain seems to recognise that everything is 'mirrored' and the switched positions is a constant reminder.
At junctions and things you just have to remember that you should be sat towards the centre of the road as in this country and you naturally then keep to the correct side.0 -

For a start I keep hopping into the front passenger seat, then scrabble for the gear stick with my right hand, I find it really hard to gauge where the left side of the car was and don't get me started on lights/wipers/indicators etc.
It usually takes me about a day and a half to get halfway used to it.
Just take it nice and slowly and get your passengers to shout out if you're too close/far to other things.
Why? They're in the same place as a right hand drive model.0 -

Roundabouts - We found them to be very safe as most people approached and took them cautiously...and not just the rental cars.
Signage - Don't panic when approaching roundabouts and major junctions and the signs are in Greek, as 100-200m further on they reproduce them in English.0 -
My tip would be to hire an automatic, and that way it is one less thing to get flustered about.
It's what I always do when I drive in Spain. Driving on the other side of the road is easy enough, but I always think changing gears with the other hand would get confusing and potentially lead to lapses in concentration.0 -
Why? They're in the same place as a right hand drive model.I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.
