Congestion Charge for changing car.

Options
Hi I sold my car and when I let London Congestion Charge now to change my car registered with them I was charged £10.

Who comes up with this. Its extortion as it takes a minute to do on the system and you have no choice.

Fed up with Rip off Culture.
Hope your day is blessed with peace

Your post makes no sense, what does "...I let London Congestion Charge now to change my car registered..." mean?

    OP edited for you!

Hi I sold my car and when I let [the] London Congestion Charge dept know [the registration number of the new car] and asked them to update the details they have on file for me I was charged [an administration fee ?] of £10.

There you go. I think this is what the OP meant.

OP - if you register for Autopay, which I assume you have done, the charge is £10 per vehicle per year. Hence you have had to pay £10 for your new vehicle.

This is all set out in the T&Cs.

Yes, thats right. Sorry but I think thats an outlandish charge. New car not working very well, will probably have to change and pay another £10. :(
Hope your day is blessed with peace
