EasyJet online check-in help please!

We booked a holiday back in May, and we actually go next week.

We've got all the necessary print-outs for the hotel and airport pick-up but what I am struggling with is the (a) online check-in and (b) Advance Passenger Information (passport details required by law according to the website).

The problem is the EasyJet site is sending me round in circles. It won't let me print out the check-in/boarding passes and it won't let me enter passport details.

I rang their office but they are closed now until Tuesday due to the Bank Holiday.

I shall just worry now until Tuesday, so can anyone here tell me if this is a known glitch, or if it's not available for use until 48 hours before departure i.e. I'm being too premature in trying to access my booking.

Try a different browser and delete all cookies etc and then try.

Try their app on an Android or iPhone smartphone.

Check in would have been open at -30 days so if you are going next week you are certainly not too early.

You need to input your API before it will allow you to print boarding cards. You can either do this well in advance of travel or during the checkin process. As to why it is not letting you do this, can you let us know what error message you are getting?

    There isn't an error message.

The site redirects me to traveldoc-easyjet.com.

It asks for various bits of info such as expiry date and date(s) of travel.

When I enter the info, a red message comes up saying 'Expiry date required' but I've already input that!

Tried another browser and that didn't work either.

OK. I got an answer from an old thread on Mumsnet.

When you book a holiday, you get a booking reference.

The check-in asks for your ref BUT IT ISN'T THE BOOKING REF they're looking for.

You need to enter the FLIGHT REF.

    Mad or what?

Anyway, I've got there in the end and have my boarding passes. Cheers.

  • I see they haven't changed their website since my complaint earlier this year.
Had exactly the same problem - going round in circles until a phonecall to them gave us the solution.

How difficult is it to insert one line of text on their website to stipulate this!?!?

I doubt the issue is with the reference if you got as far as inputting passport details. Does it come up with an error as you entered the first person? Have you tried inputting the second first? Are you sure you got the date right. Silly question but I've been where you are tearing my head out not understanding why it didn't work, entered the date about 10 times and finally realised on the 11th time that I had put the wrong date!
