From Aldi, a 7800mAh powerbank.

Maximum power output is 2.1 amps.
Since the PSU for my Hudl is rated at 2.0 amps, I reckon I can run my Hudl directly from the powerbank.

useful if you like filling up drawers with unused gadgets with dead batteries.
where do you need to take a hudl that doesn't have a power socket.Don't you dare criticise what you cannot understand0 -

Quite so RichardD1970.
I recently travelled by coach, from Manchester to the Eurotunnel terminal and, a week later, from Dover to Manchester.
I would've browsed the net, pretty much the whole way, if the power would've held out.0 -
rhetorical not strange. It's a commentary on the need to use electronic gadgets rather than relax and look out the window or enjoy your surroundings or company.
takes 10 minutes to drink a coffee, and less than that to buy a paperback.Don't you dare criticise what you cannot understand0 -

Your Hudl probably draws around 1A from the charger when flat, maybe 500mA when at 80%+.
The general rule that manufacturers use is to take the power requirement and double it for the PSU rating.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

If I try to run my Hudl from my computer's USB socket, even when it's practically fully charged, I get a message to the effect, that there isn't enough power from the USB socket.0 -

If the coach had WiFi, I'd probably video chat with them.
And anoy everyone else on the coach.
