That's why they have a lounge area at the back of Silver Service coaches.
Besides, why would they have WiFi, if they don't expect people to use it :huh:0 -

To surf and check e-mail.
If there is a special area does it not have mains sockets? Rail Air (road) coaches and some First Great Western trains have them in all areas not just special areas.0 -

"Your Hudl probably draws around 1A from the charger when flat, maybe 500mA when at 80%+."
and your USB socket on your PC is rated at , lets guess , I know its 500ma
Yes it's 500mA, but most can handle 1A, especially rear ports. Front ports tend to be USB hubs and these can only handle 500mA+ IF they've been designed to supplement power using another 5v rail.
However, the Hudl will likely detect the data lines on the USB and assume it can't use more than 500mA (for safety reasons). The charger itself will have the data lines shorted together so that the device "knows" it's connected to a charger instead of a USB port.
I use a modified USB cable to fast charge my Nexus 7 from my PC.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Whaaaat?! There shouldn't be any electrons emanating from the screen -- that's how cathode ray tubes work, not LCD screens.0 -
