2nd reason: I am sure that most intelligent people would not choose to do business with an organisation that supports terrorist organisations like the conservative party.
Your statements become more ludicrous as we go along !
Your claim that "they landed on a main road by mistake" is a total untruth, if you did read that, could I suggest you were reading the Beano ? As as already been pointed out you couldn't even get the year right !
I, too, remember the news reports at the time - like the ITN news who couldn't even get the type of aircraft involved right !
Read this for what actually happened:-

Sorry about some of the big words.
(In short, the aircraft suffered an engine failure. The flight deck crew shut down the wrong engine, having been misled by changes in this new aircraft's instrumentation)
Your second statement, again is ludicrous. I'm not sure if you are saying that the Conservative Party is a "terrorist organisation" or supports one. In either case perhaps you should pass your information on to the Police.
Perhaps I should stop flying with BA, Tony Blair uses them and he was talking to terrorists for years - the IRA.0 -
well i said i would let you lot know what happened so here goes!!
we got to check in very very early flight at 8.40 we arrived at 6am!!! thats to early in my book
first check in lady just said you cant check in here you have to use the self check in i explained about the seats that we were given were all seperate but she wouldnt have it bloody jobsworth!!
so i went to customer services, and very very politely explained the dilemma and said i really dont want my daughter sitting on her own. Lovely lady at customer service said 'of course you dont i will sit you all together dont worry' and she did that and checked us in. Very very quickly she did all that. Then we had to go back to grumpy woman to give her our bags and boy was her face a picture :rotfl: she was not amused!!!!
on the way home no such problems got to the airport early again this time at 9.20 for a 11.45 flight and just went to normal check in and she didnt even say anything just gave us 3 seats together.
when i say didnt say anything i mean nothing. took our passports off us and then that was it, no hello, goodbye nothing!!!! she was odd!!
but we had a great holiday bought back loads of choccies, and had a fantastic day at a theme park called walibi it was great!!!0 -

I am grateful for clarification about what actually happened in this disaster. Errors ("mistakes") by the aircrew did play a part in the event. As for the year: it was the very beginning of 1989.0 -

Well, when the Conservatives were in power they did far more damage to the British economy, British values, British science, fundamental British institutions... than al-qaeda could ever hope to achieve. Perhaps 'terrorist' is too mild a word for them.
And there is a difference between accepting a paying customer, which TB is to BA, and giving an expensive facility for free.
There is also the question of commercial judgment. For most of his reign, TB was a spectacularly successful politician. It is quite possible that BA increased its ability to attract 'premium' passengers, and so strengthened its bottom line, by being associated with TB. Compare this with John Major's lacklustre performance: association with him could only have damaged the airline's image and so represented a failure of commercial judgment. OK, maybe that was not a safety-critical issue that should worry a passenger on the one-hour flight to Brussels, but on the whole I would prefer to do business with competent organisations.0 -
Actually I think you are in the wrong. It quite clearly states on the website that with the cheap Tiny flights you CANNOT choose your seats. It is obviously selected by a computer and not a person. People expect everything for nothing these days!!
Of course the airline was highly unlikely to allow a child to sit on their own, but it was not their fault that you chose the cheap flight and expecting a service that was not offered.
It is always important to read the small, or in this case not so small print! However I am pleased that it worked out well and you had a good holiday.0 -

Its also important to read the original post phil7445:rolleyes: divadee booked with -->BMI<-- the full service version NOTBMIBABY0 -
Maybe YOU need to read it more carefully! They booked the "Tiny" fare which quite clearly states that you get allocated seats.0
