With reference to the bazster fiasco, if you take the time out to read that thread you will find that I was indeed correct, it was bazster who was wrong but won't admit it, it's getting tiresome but if you read the proper legal advice giving to the OP on the forum I suggested you will see yet again that the advice I gave was correct.
Parking in a disabled space in either a private or council car park will attract a PCN if you dont have a disability.

incorrect information !!!!!
I can drive my elderly friend who has a blue badge ,(in my car) display it and park ,
be careful with your blanket statements0 -
You are indeed right, I stand corrected. A BB covers the person and not the vehicle.enfield_freddy wrote: »incorrect information !!!!!

Always interested in other views. Do you think that contravention of a t&c in a private car park warrants a potential £100 charge?
Particularly when you compare with the average council charges for more serious parking offences.
My stance - shared with many more on here - is that in the cases we advise the punishment does not fit the crime.0 -
Guys Dad I think private parking tickets should be brought more into line with council parking tickets, that said I also think it would be fairer if BB were required in private car parks also. Being a disabled motorist perhaps clouds my judgement regarding the minority who abuse disabled parking spaces in private car parks.
I do not think the contravention warrants a potential £100 charge.

May be fairer if everything was brought in line with the Equality Act 2010!Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

One standard would certainly make things easier, but I think it would be very difficult to use the EA2010 instead of BB.
I have mobility problems so I qualify for a BB, I also suffer from severe to profound hearing loss, that means I have a recognised disability under the EA2010, but this should not give me the right to park in a disabled space.

keepitlegal - this is nasK's thread, not yours.
Kindly start your own discussion elsewhere. The BB badge topic arises often enough, with sound input from redx and many others.
You've been on mse for over 4 years so should know better than to hi-jack a newbie's thread.
NasK - follow the sound advice given by other posters. We'll look over any drafts you write. Tweak the templates to fit your parking event.
The only 'loss of earnings' relevant to your 'parking event' are the 'ill-gotten gains' you'll rightly deny UKPC :-)

I am sure that the OP is reading and learning from this slightly off topic discussion.
OP, have you read elsewhere of a little local difficulty UKPC are having with the truth?

In fairness, keepitlegal was reponding to a question I asked earlier, so I am the one who was guilty, if at all, of hijacking the thread.
However, there are a few contributors with mobility issues, some with and others without BBs, and as they are the ones who may be the most inconvenienced by people without EA conditions using Disabled spaces, their take on the matter is welcome, I would have thought.
NasK appears to be an able bodied driver who had no "right" to park in a disabled space, even for a few minutes and is asking for team help to avoid the £100 charge. Because of the sum, we gladly help, but I know of a couple of my mates who have BBs and have not been able to use wider spaces provided because able bodied motorists have got there first. When it becomes personal involving friends, I admit having the sentiment s of "Fine the bas****s".
So I now confess to being a hijacking hypocrite.
