I am trying to claim back my £499 "retainer" paid to Verus Associates via Section 75 of the CCA via my Credit Card company. However, they have asked for the T&C's to which I entered the agreement (ultimately through Thomson Legal in Wales). I don't have copies of them. Can anyone help me please as Verus Assocaties are no longer trading. Surprise surprise

    Many thanks

If you know the website address you can use the internet archive site to find the old page and should be able to get it from there (if they recorded it)

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Do you still have a copy of the T&C's to hand please?

That user was a company employee who pretended to be a customer who used them

  • Verus Associates is a trading style of Debt Ace Limited which is to be compulsorily struck off by Companies House.

This is due to happen next month.

I suggest you tell your bank this and that they have provided no service.

This company is clearly a scam, i have reported them now to the
ministry of justice and the financial ombusman and i received my money back from my credit card company after doing a chargeback.

Anyone reading this post and finding that £499 has come out of your bank or credit card without your consent seriously just call the company and do a chargeback.

The paperwork i received was shoddy at best also and there website doesnt even work at present seriously avoid at all costs complete SCAM

Have you still got the T&C's as my Credit Card company are asking for it in order to refund me
    Thanks

  • I actually worked for a company with a very close association to Verus. There are a bunch of these companies all working out of the same building in Carmarthen. They have no idea if the person they call has PPI, they are just fishing. They will take the upfront fee out of your account instantly but are a real pain to get money back from. I was there for 1.5 days before I realised they were a scam. They also have close ties with a few companies in Ammanford. Surprised to hear that Verus are closing as they are still advertising for call centre staff......
