If an agent is showing a house near an airport how do you tell someone to expect flight traffic without sounding totally condescending.

Quite , not sure why your quoting me though
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

My point is , you have implied the EA is responsible for advising you of `busy motorways and airports`

Actually, I thought they generally were quite good at that, albeit using their own language. The wording I've often seen goes along the lines of 'conveniently situated for all major transport links'. I wish I could polish a turd that effectively!

stop blaming others for your own lack of research

Mate, I am not blaming anyone (yet) but I was quite sure such things should have been disclosed. Had doubts though about this specifically, that is why I started the thread.

To other comments: The airport is not next door exactly, it's quite a few miles away and I'll say it again, we knew it was where it was, hence our surprise to be unlucky enough to be in their flight path. Seemed too far to us. Also they don't appear on any map (flight paths) nor the standard searches, unfortunately.

    Anyways....

Your original post asked if you should sure the vendors/agent for non-disclosure of something that was freely observable. The advice given has, unanimously, been unfavourable towards this.

It's rare that there is such a level of agreement here.

    Enough said.

Damn.... that is a good point.

I agree, enough has been said. Thanks to everyone and particularly to those with the actual useful comments. Got a better picture of the situation now and I've learn a thing or two as well.

I think this thread has run its course now.

You mentioned estate agents so I was responding.
    Anyway I removed it.
