I have a white car and it's covered in dead insects at the front, jet wash doesn't even seem to shift them fully. Thinking if getting a bug remover spray , any recommendations?

PM this guy and ask him what he uses to get his verbal diarrhoea off the screen.

Some polish and elbow grease. Don't use jet wash on car paintwork,, it can take the laquer off.

Thanks, would the jet washes at petrol stations still be too powerful?

Well I don't use them; I find a bucket and sponge adequate and kinder to the car. If you clean the car, polish and finish with a wax polish, then bugs and bird muck come off much more easily from the polished surface than one that hasn't been polished. All I use is sponge and water, no detergents as that will just remove the polish.

You can buy bug remover sponges, the one I have is like an ordinary sponge inside a fishing net. The sponge hold water to wet & soften the dead thing, and the net is gently abrasive.

If you want to live dangerously, try a white/non scratch panscourer somewhere that doesn't show (modern "paint" is barely waterproof, never mind attacking it with a scourer)

You might even find that the insect juices have attacked the "paint" and discoloured it, try a mildly abrasive polish like Autoglym resin polish.
Then when clean put some wax on to protect the "paint".

Use a wet tea towel (old one or a cheap one), it's abrasive enough to lift the bugs, but not enough to damage the paint.

Kitchen towel, soaked in water or, even better, screenwash. Lay it over the affected area and leave for 15 minutes. Push the kitchen towel to one side as you lift it off, and most of the bugs will come with it. The rest should come off with a gentle sponge. I wouldn't take a scourer, even an old, soft one, anywhere near paint.

    Works well on glass, too.

Use a pre-wash such as Valet Pro citrus or a decent snow foam.

I have yet to see any bugs on my car after a few months of doing nothing about them.
