EE second line not activated
Hi all,
A couple of months ago I transferred my Orange number to EE. At the same time I bought a second line, for which I planned to port a number from Vodafone.
Both were new contracts with new phones.
When I received them I think I accidentally put the wrong SIM in the wrong phone. This, combined with a porting error, meant that the second line was never activated. I called EE several times to try to activate the second line. They had no record of the second line on their system and they had no record of the temporary sim that they had sent me. I called every day for a week, until I talked with a chap who was quite rude and annoyed about my frequent calls, so I decided I would just wait for them to contact me.
Now, it's been 2 months and I'm only paying for 1 new contract but I have 2 new phones. The spare one is an iphone 6.
Forgetting about the morality of things, have I just ended up with a free phone?

A second line is usually set up on one SIM card where the network supports it. Do you mean something else?
Free phone no, arrange to get send it back or wait for large bill.0 -
No I mean a second phone number on the same account. One bill, but for 2 separate phone numbers. At the moment I am only being billed for 1 number though.
I'll try them again and see what they say.0 -
It sounds like the second number hasn't been activated. If it's a tentative number (ie temporary) it won't come up on the system if the number is entered (sorry if that sounds a bit confusing). When you call again ask them to look the second line / number up by entering your name and postcode. It should then come up on the system and can be activated by registering the sim card number.0

Thanks I've tried calling them again. The only number/account they can find using my name & address is the one that is active and that I'm paying for already. The new temporary sim can't be found anywhere.
They just said to keep waiting.
But I hope my 24 month contract started on the day that I ordered. It's been 2 months already0 -
Can't you buy a payg sim and bundle and use that in the interim?0
