btw, spybot is always on
and i have to keep system restoring my pc as after about 5 mins on internet, i get message o. t out. although i check my network settings which show my broadband is connected

its a haven for virus's its totally crap. what you need is

ccleaner

and

hijack this.

have not been able to connect for few days (had to system restore) only way i could connect for longer than five mins.

could you please explain - ccleaner and hijack this-

Google for them.

CCleaner will delete all manner of accumulated junk and temporary files from your pc.
Hijackthis will produce a log of your computers registry, if you post the log on this site one of the techie experts will analyse it and tell you how you need to proceed.

thanks, i have downloaded the ccleaner but am a bit wary of hijackthis as there are many options after i have googled and i dont know which one to go for. and the one i think may be the correct one states that it is only for advanced users

Hijackthis is cuurently on release V2.0.2

It is safe to use if you scan only ( and save a log file ). The dangerous part is when you slect items for "fixing".

I suggest you look at http://forums.spybot.info/index.php and post for help on there.

The Spybot Forums site has a dedicated section with highly trained experts to help you through any malware/virus infection you may have. Read the "BEFORE you POST" thread in the Malware Removal section and follow any instructions given in the precise order they are given.

IMHO the HJT help you get on here from Browntoa, PCHelpman, Alfonso Skinarelli and others is as good as you'll get anywhere.
