Dumb Sky Question

Hi there,
We have multiroom. In our living room we have a Sky+ box, and in the bedroom it's just normal Sky with no rewind or record or whatever.
If I buy a Sky+ box (secondhand) to replace the one in the bedroom, will it then have all the functions of the one downstairs, including recording, pausing etc.? And, if so, will Sky auto-download 'instant play' films onto it like they do the the main one? (We have the bells and whistles package).
Thank you!

Grateful to finally be debt free!

Yes it will but you will have to phone Sky and get the card paired to the new box and the recording features turned on.And, if so, will Sky auto-download 'instant play' films onto it like they do the the main one? (We have the bells and whistles package).

Everything will be the same provided the box you buy is capable of it.0 -
You also need to make sure there are 2 signal feeds from the dish going into the bedroom. If there is only 1 you will still get most of the Sky + features but you won't be able to record 2 programs at once.0

.... or record one programme while watching another.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
