  • I am getting so confused with all of this, no wonder people think it is just easier to pay up.

    The plan (but correct me if I am wrong) is to;

    1. Write to them requesting to appeal because we never had a ticket on the windscreen or a 1st letter

    2. Await their appeal rejection

    3. Write back asking for a VAT invoice to support their charge (or are we indicating we will pay if we do this)

    4. Then ignore them and hope they never take it as far as court

    OR is all of the above a big waste of time and should we just ignore them from this point?

    Please help!!!

    The general advice now you have missed the appeals "window" is to now to ignore everything unless it is a claim from the county court

    3. Does it matter whether you are or not?

    The fact is, you are most unlikely to get one. If they do not oblige you can argue that the charge is damages and must reflect their losses.

    If you ignore them they may think that you are a pushover, if you appeal etc., it will cost them money.
    You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
