no dont refund im not responsibe for them not being inI voted "no don't refund them". I don't believe it, I just want to know what would happen next;) Go democracy!
Also, couriers can lie, so the buyer may well have been in.
It's really a straightforward system. Buyer buys, seller sends, buyer receives. If buyer claims non receipt, seller has to prove delivery, if seller can't prove delivery buyer gets a refund..0 -

i cant be responsible for the customer not being in three times, nor the fact they didnt go pick the parcel up or contact hermes for re delivery. ive fulfilled my part of the contract by posting, with tracking. they didnt collect.

Your contract was to get the parcel safely to the buyer.
Explain again, exactly how have you fulfilled that contract?====0 -

I take from that that you know for certain that the courier attempted delivery. Also, that you know for certain that you used the correct name and address.loopy_lass wrote: »i cant be responsible for the customer not being in three times, nor the fact they didnt go pick the parcel up or contact hermes for re delivery. ive fulfilled my part of the contract by posting, with tracking. they didnt collect.
As others have attempted to tell you, your problem is with the courier company, not the buyer who has paid for something they have not received..0 -
yes refund themPersonally I'm looking forward to reading about the claim against MyHermes - where they find out that the item sent wasn't covered (since pretty much everything is or can be excluded).

IME MyHermes are very good at that.0 -

Whilst it's true that MyHermes do have a very long list of items not covered, this list only covers items damages during shipping and not items that have been lost.
Provided that the item that the OP sent wasn't on their prohibited list (which is mainly dangerous goods), they may well get paid out.0 -

You can't be sure the customer wasn't in. One of the reasons I am wary of buying from sellers who use MyHermes is the couriers where I live often claim they tried to deliver the parcel, but I was in all day and no one came. I couldn't reschedule the delivery because I did not have a card put through the door. This has happened multiple times. I am in a city and I think they get confused by the fact the streets are quite higgledy piggledy and have similar names. Maybe your buyer is having a similar issue?0 -
yes refund themMyhermes were supposed to deliver a parcel to my home today, tracking shows it out for delivery yet nobody turned up.
So as above, it might not be the buyers fault.0 -
