Which camera phone - samsung or sony ericson?

SE wins hands down !
Samsung is all gimmick. I used to be a Nokia man but got converted to SE. I'm a proud owner of a K750i for the last 18 months.
Just waiting for the new K850i coming out this year which is gonna be the nuts!0 -
If you are not a hardcore techie then SE, they are good. They'll do what they are supposed to.
But if you are a super techie (like me) you will soon realise that SE phones are pathetically inferior - I get bored of them within an hour! (With the exception of P910i and P990i).
This is basically the lowdown. Oh an remember the SE joystick is likely to mess up.0 -

so which phone would you recommend? or any up and coming ones?0 -
The k810i is nice - I would say.
It's not a smartphone so you'd get real bored real quick if you are a techie. But it looks really nice, has a good camera and also will have SE specific nifty features.
But ultimately it depends on your price range, among other things, in reality the only person that can really say which phone is best is you.0 -
I've previously had a Sony Ericsson K800i and the cybershot function on SE handsets is amazing.
I currently have a 5 mega pixel N95 which also takes great pics, but I must admit the Sony was better at taking faster shots.
I'd be tempted to give the Samsung G600 5 mega-pixel camera phone a shot if I were in your position, otherwise go for the K810i.0 -
Yeah the N95 is slow at taking pics - but it more than makes up in other ways.
But as BANNEDfromTV said I would go for k810i. Seems like its perfect for you.0 -
What about waiting for the k850 with its 5 mega-pixel camera out in oct?0

hi, i have the k800i too, it will take longer videos, i think you may have to change the settings. i only discovered this as my 8 yr old son is addicted to making videos of nothing in particular with my phone, and he's made a few which are over 2 minutes long! i always upload them to my pc as i think they are lovely little video diaries i can show him (or embarrass him with!) when he's older!
on topic tho, it is a brilliant camera phone and i would recommend it. :j0 -
I have the K800i with a 1Gb memory card in it as well. I find the video function runs for as long as i keep going or till I stop it or run out of memory0
