A modern bike carb on the other hand, you could pick up for £50-£100, then pay £200 for a custom built inlet manifold.

Really just depends on cash versus effort.

please define a modern bike carb , bikes have been fuel injected for quite a few years ,


I have yet to see a motorcycle (commonly available) that is 1600cc , and there is just a minor thing , motorcycles do not have accelerator pumps fitted to there carbs

however , that does seem to come with a maniford that costs over £100 , + a chrome filter , etc etc

so £250+ vat is quite a long way from your estimated "upto " £500-£600

George Micheal , thanks for the link , the part I wanted was not in the kits section , it was in the carb only section
