anyone play around with those?
I have a VW engine trike sat on my drive with a faulty carb.
it seems to be a 1600 (aircooled) lump , possably a van engine , early , as in its got a dynamo.
the thing has a dellorto carb on it that has been damaged , mixture screws wound fully in and cracked the internals , this has been assessed by steve at Motocarb (Liverpool) however he does not deal/supply those carbs
can anyone suggest a supplier for a replacement?
thanks

Know someone that needed one recently for a 1973 bus, dont know the details of cost or where it came from (can ask later), but it was sourced through a VW restorer.
Google restorers in your area?0 -
please ask for me , nothing in my area , I have already tried local
thanks0 -
There's umpty-hundred online sellers for air-cooled VW bits. Have a google around some of the air-cooled forums, because there's a lot of utter junk on the market.0

It came from JustKampers, they cant remember a price for a new one, but heres a link to a rebuild kit for VW 1955 on, and for 1600 campers from 1955-1979.

You might be able to find a bike carb that'll fit (perhaps with a modifed manifold), they've become really popular on modified car engines as they perform better than weber/dellorto, more efficient, A LOT cheaper and a lot more reliable.
I know it's not a high performance engine, but give "Bogg Brothers" a call and see if they can suggest anything.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I am a biker , both modern and classic NO BIKE CARB will fit , the carb is a duel choke unit with 4 bolt fitting,
this is a similar sized weber version0 -
So you'd need a fabricated inlet manifold to carry out the conversion.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
