I wonder why Police Chief Dreyfus's immortal words "If I had 10 men like Clouseau I could destroy the world" keep coming into my mind?
Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

I'm personally now of the opinion that the poster is genuine, but that it takes a really really special kind of logic to make it as an investigator with QI, and that all of you others clearly don't have this truly special logic.

Tooba I do get your point. Can we be constructive here? Taking on board all of the negative comments it seems that many people have had a bad experience with Q. Can you tell me or help me to understand how come you have had a good one? What is your professional background? How did you get to work for Q as an investigator and how long have you been working for them? Perhaps you could expand and tell me your experiences of working for Q, what a working day/week entails for you, how many hours work you get and what they are like to work for? You don't need to go into case details (obviously) but a general overview would be very helpful.

well pmd123 you misunderstood. my last lines were my explanation towards my language skills that you are pointing here. Language is used to communicate if you are good in it, grammar wont matter.
  • Having received a risible amount of work, I have been applying to other agencies to try to get some work - I am attaching an extract of a response today to hopefully demonstrate the worth of the course.

Thanks for your reply the contents of which are noted however, the qualification that you have undertaken does not have an awarding body neither is it a nationally recognised qualification. As no doubt you will appreciate professional private investigation involves a wide area of investigation in both civil and criminal matters. It is of course also an important factor to have the necessary basic knowledge of the industry. With the forthcoming licensing of the UK private investigation industry in 2015 when it will be necessary for all applicants applying for a private investigators licence to be able to prove competence in all the core units as specified by the (SIA) the Security Industry Authority.
In these circumstances, we are only considering applicants who already have the necessary recognised qualifications in professional private investigation. We would
therefore recommend that you consider enrolling with our associated company The Academy of Professional Investigation on their online distance learning course Edexcel/Pearson Level 3 BTEC Advanced Diploma in Private Investigation and/or the IQ Level 3 Award for Professional Investigators [QCF] being the SIA Competency test for the forthcoming licensing of private investigators. You will find more information on their website.
