The vendor has agreed for me to bring an engineer in tomorrow - I am not doing a survey and no report would be produced, just the final due diligence check to assure myself there is no major structural problem.

Just to rain on your parade a little, with no report from a structural engineer, there would probably be no legal comeback, should there be a problem later on.
But, good work, nonetheless.

OK, my mistake. So you are prepared - even at this ridiculously late stage - to walk away based on the result of this inspection.
When did you put the offer in? Is this the Bexleyheath place you were asking about in April, four months ago?0 -
